Who is eligible to participate in the celebration?
This event is reserved for students who will be completing their program requirements no later than the Fall 2024 semester (December 2024) and alumni who have not participated in previous ceremonies. Each JWMI attendee may invite up to four guests to attend with them.
What do I need to do to attend this ceremony?
Interested students and alumni must register for commencement via the link in the invitation email by September 13, 2024, and book their travel (if needed). If you did not receive an invitation email, but are eligible to participate, please email questions@jwmi.com
Is there a fee to participate in the ceremony or reception?
No, there is no fee required to participate in this ceremony or reception.
What is the attire for the event?
JWMI graduates and alumni should dress in formal business attire. Cap and gown are not required. To ensure that you receive the best possible photos while crossing the stage, we recommend that men wear neutral-colored, conservative business suits, white or light-colored shirts, and neckties, and women wear a matching business suit, including a jacket and dress pants or a dress skirt. Guests are encouraged to wear formal business or business casual attire.
Will I receive a diploma at the event?
JWMI graduates and alumni will receive a Letter of Congratulations during the ceremony. Diplomas will NOT be provided.
Is there a ceremony rehearsal?
No, there will not be a ceremony rehearsal. Event instructions will be communicated to all graduates and alumni via email and postal mail two weeks before the ceremony.
Is there a reception after the event?
Yes, there will be a post-ceremony reception.
I registered to participate in this ceremony, but I’m now not able to make it. What should I do?
If you registered to participate in this event but are now no longer able to attend, please contact JWMI immediately at questions@jwmi.com or 844-803-0458 so that waitlist requests can be filled.
What is the difference between this ceremony and the Strayer University ceremonies?
The Strayer University ceremonies are for both Strayer and JWMI graduates. While you are more than welcome to attend one of the Strayer ceremonies if you wish, Suzy will not be in attendance, and Strayer University graduates will mainly populate it.
Can I participate in a Strayer University commencement ceremony if I am unable to attend this one?
Absolutely! If you are unable to attend this event, you can register to attend a Strayer University commencement ceremony by visiting https://commencement.strayer.edu. The 2025 ceremony schedule and registration link will be available in January 2025.

Yes, you will have the option to participate in a future commencement ceremony if you adhere to the requirements for the event you’re attending.
